Data protection information on the use of the Sunny Cars WhatsApp service
Description and scope of data processing
Sunny Cars offers its customers the opportunity to receive up-to-date information and offers from the Sunny Cars rental world by WhatsApp.
If you send a start message to the telephone number provided by Sunny Cars for the service, the following personal data must be processed in order to perform the service:
- First and last name
- Telephone number
- Messenger ID
- Profile picture
- Messages
The technical service provider MessengerPeople GmbH, Herzog-Heinrich-Str. 9, 80336 Munich, has been engaged as the contract processor to provide this service.
The provider responsible for the messenger service is WhatsApp, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. The provider of the messenger service receives personal data (in particular the metadata for the communication) which is processed on servers in states outside the EU (e.g. the United States) where it may not be possible to guarantee an appropriate level of data protection. However, Whatsapp Inc. and Facebook Inc. are certified under the Privacy Shield agreement and thus guarantee that European data protection law will be complied with. Sunny Cars has no exact knowledge of or influence over data processing by the provider of the messenger service.

The purpose of data processing is to send information using the WhatsApp messenger service.
Duration of storage
The personal data is stored for as long as necessary to perform the service.
To have all your data stored by our service provider deleted, send us a message with the text “DELETE ALL DATA” (in capitals) using your messenger service.
Withdrawal and removal options
Your consent to this data processing can be revoked at any time. To do so, send a message with the content “Stop” by WhatsApp to cancel the service.
