Refund of the excess in the event of theft of the rental car?

Do you need extra theft insurance on-site?

What to do if your rental car is stolen

Stay calm and inform the local rental partner immediately. You’ll find the phone number on your voucher or attached to the car key. In addition, the theft must be reported to the police. Keep the official police report: hand in the original to the local rental partner and keep a copy for yourself.

What can you do to avoid theft of the rental car?

To reduce the risk of theft, we recommend a few simple precautions:

Always lock all doors and windows carefully and keep the car key in a safe place.
Park in well-lit, safe areas and avoid isolated spots, especially at night.
Never leave valuables visible in the car – store them in the boot or take them with you.
Use existing security features such as an alarm system or immobiliser.
